A/B Testing — Running two versions of an ad or page to see which performs better.
Andromeda — Meta's AI-powered ad retrieval engine that targets based on creative quality, not manual settings.
CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) — How much you spend to acquire one new customer. Total ad spend divided by number of customers.
COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) — The direct cost to produce or fulfill a product.
Conversions API (CAPI) — Server-side tracking that sends purchase data directly to Meta, more reliable than browser pixel alone.
CPC (Cost Per Click) — How much you pay each time someone clicks your ad.
CPM (Cost Per Mille) — Cost per 1,000 impressions. How much it costs to show your ad to 1,000 people.
CTR (Click-Through Rate) — Percentage of people who see your ad and click it. Above 1% is good, above 2% is great.
DM — Direct Message. Where sales conversations happen one-on-one.
Drop — A planned product release or sales event with buildup and urgency.
Edition (Limited/Open) — Limited editions are numbered with a set quantity. Open editions are unlimited.
EIN — Employer Identification Number. Your business's tax ID from the IRS.
Flash Sale — A short, high-urgency sale event, usually lasting minutes to hours.
Flow (Klaviyo) — An automated email sequence triggered by an action (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase).
Giclee — A high-quality fine art print made with archival inks. Premium tier printing.
Gross Margin — Revenue minus COGS, expressed as a percentage. Aim for 70%+.
LLC — Limited Liability Company. Separates personal assets from business liability.
Meta Pixel — Tracking code installed on your website that tells Meta who visits and what they do.
Mini Drop — A small, repeatable sales event you can run weekly (auctions, flash sales).
NFT — Non-Fungible Token. A unique digital asset on a blockchain with verified ownership.
One-of-One — A unique, single piece that will never be reproduced.
POD (Print-on-Demand) — Products manufactured one at a time after a customer orders. No inventory needed.
Pricing Ladder — Multiple price points from entry-level ($5-25) to premium ($200+) so there's something for everyone.
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) — Revenue generated per dollar of ad spend. 3.0 means $3 revenue per $1 spent.
S-Corp — Tax election for LLCs that can reduce self-employment tax at higher income levels.
SEO — Search Engine Optimization. Making your site show up in Google search results.
SKU — Stock Keeping Unit. A unique identifier for each product variation.
SMS — Text message marketing. Used for time-sensitive drops and restocks.
